The Role

This role will support the Lead Consultant with go-to-market solutions and end-to-end client support to deliver analysis, analytics and insights for new and existing clients within the financial services industry.

The role is a technical and client-facing one in which the ideal candidate can bring analytical solutions and data science to bear on real-world commercial problems facing clients’ businesses.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality analytics solutions to clients, from data quality assessment, data manipulation, method selection, design & application, product maintenance & improvement, insights generation and visualisation
  • Intensive learning and acquisition of key analytical, technical and Quantium business knowledge to become a proficient Analyst working under minimal supervision and drive a high-performance, knowledge-sharing positive culture for Quantium
  • Establishing, building and maintaining positive and sustainable relationships with internal and client teams to further understand their needs and deliver return-on-investment and / or to ensure the smooth operation of Quantium products

 

Desirable education and experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a technical analytics environment working with large datasets to deliver insights, recommendations and solutions. Exposure to analytics products and delivery is also advantageous.
  • Coding experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python, Scala, Teradata and/or big data platforms
  • Experience with predictive modelling - ideally at a bank or in financial services
  • Tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, actuarial studies, physics, engineering, computer science or a related discipline
  • Experience in successfully managing internal and external stakeholders, delivering against projects, tasks and activities in a dynamic deadline-driven environment
  • Commercial acumen to understand business needs and be able to link to the commercial impacts of different analytics solutions or approaches
  • Experience and/or desire to develop client management skills, including relationship building, project delivery and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and a drive for self-improvement
  • This role would suit a strong team player who would thrive in a start-up environment
