This role will see you working on extremely tough predictive modelling/data science problems with real world demand drivers and in turn real world impact. If you are excited about the challenge of turning proof of concepts into complex products at scale with clients who touch 10’s of millions of customers (sometimes 100’s of millions), then we would love to hear from you.


As a Senior Data Science Consultant, you will be developing and leading new client relationships, leading high performing teams of technical experts and managing complex projects to deliver outstanding client value. We use innovation and creativity to transform our solutions into robust and scalable products that help individuals, organisations and society.


Key Responsibilities


  • Delivering technical solutions through overseeing and providing support to the project team (generally 3-5 people). Depending on complexity, this could be the data component or the model / algorithm build. This will involve:
    • Providing direction and guidance in the design, checking and review process
    • Contributing to the build if and where necessary
    • Partner closely with our leadership team, Product and broader consulting teams across the Quantium business.
  • Client management and delivery
    • Lead business development of prospective clients
    • Management of key client relationships to deliver against revenue and profit targets
    • Oversee the delivery of high-quality value to clients
  • Talent recruitment, development and management
    • Recruit, develop and manage a high performing team to deliver outstanding client value
    • Work with the broader business to support activities to attract and develop talent
    • Contribute to and build on the strong culture of the team aligned with Quantium’s global DNA
  • Operational excellence: drive quality, timeliness and simplicity across the growth business
  • Profitability: be accountable to the Quantium leadership team for delivery against agreed P&L


About You


  • Approximately 10+ years’ experience with at least 3 years operating at a senior level in a client facing capacity and demonstrated ability to lead proof-of-concept projects
  • A strong technical analytics background; ideally with predictive modelling and machine learning experience, particularly leading the solution design component
  • Ability and desire to lead technical projects and teams, providing best practice guidance, coaching and review of technical work
  • Degree qualified; postgraduate qualifications highly valued
  • Sharp problem-solving skills with experience partnering with clients and stakeholders to solve complex commercial problems using a data driven approach
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior client executives on difficult business issues and build long-term relationships
  • Ideally you are open to short-term international travel (e.g. APAC region)
