Welcome to the FMCG newly established small to Medium Business (SMB) team, where you can shape the way we do business with over 400 clients and have the potential to have a huge impact in getting that to an even bigger number.

We have created this team because first impressions matter, and we need you to join us to further develop strong relationships and deliver value to both existing and new clients.

The Senior Sales & BD Consultant sits within our driven, passionate and friendly FMCG team – we thrive within Quantium’s unique, fast-paced environment and we also know how to enjoy and celebrate our successes.

FMCG experience is not a requirement; you might come from a Software/Products/Telco background, and you’re looking for a change in industry

This is an opportunity for you to bring a new level of sales capability to our team, being responsible for building a strong pipeline of opportunities and selling solutions across the FMCG portfolio of products.

You will be excited to take on the full opportunity of Quantium being Woolworth’s data agent and unlock a range of opportunities, from small one-off deliverables all the way up to ongoing subscriptions.

 

Some other things you’ll be involved with:

  • Manage the sales pipeline through: warm leads with our existing portfolio of clients, & lead generation and pursuit through to delivery resourcing, along with forecasting of opportunities to deliver against monthly targets
  • Ensure project profitability: analyse delivery vs quotes and identify pricing / quoting issues and efficiency opportunities
  • Maintain Quantium’s reputation within FMCG for quality deliverables within the Retail / FMCG industry analyse trends and results to optimise growth for clients and suppliers
  • Use insights to present compelling stories that deliver tangible commercial value
  • Win new business through identifying opportunities, building relationships with existing and prospective FMCG clients, and negotiating / closing business deals
  • Level up our sales capability through coaching of other consultants (across Core FMCG and SMB)
  • Input into improvement of collateral, communications and processes for the rest of the team with your knowledge on client’s wants and needs

 

About you

  • Approximately 6+ years B2B sales experience with a desire to learn and grow in the FMCG industry
  • Extensive experience with using and maintaining CRM (HubSpot ideal)
  • Understanding of how companies can use data to shape their strategy and improve performance
  • Project management / delivery skills valued
  • An ability to work proactively and leverage available resources to problem solve
  • Experience working with stakeholders (both internal and ideally externally) up to a mid-senior level
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively sell ideas and explain complex concepts
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and regularly changing environment, juggling multiple stakeholders and projects
