Senior PowerPoint and Visual Design Specialist (9 Month Contract)

The opportunity


The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for leading and championing Quantium’s visual aesthetic across our key communication points, including PowerPoint decks (70% of the work), product and client collateral, website and content development. You will develop and sustain trusted advisor relationships with c-suite level stakeholders and provide expert advice to deliver best practice visual communication through simplicity.


This is a full time role, however, we have an option for the right person for it to be performed 4 days per week or in a job share capacity.


Key responsibilities


  • Be the champion for brand identity and style guides across the business, ensuring all of Quantium’s collateral adheres to brand standards with simple and clear communication; includes:
    • PowerPoint presentations, product and client collateral, company website, company invites and emails
    • Developing diagrams, visualisations, concepts and mock-ups
  • Build and embed design capability organisation wide; including:
    • Training workshops to build design capability in the company
    • Internal emails communicating different design hacks and design resources available
  • People manager for one direct report, providing professional development advice and providing technical guidance
  • Work with various stakeholder groups, building positive rapport and be seen as a trusted leader
    • Partner with Executive team and consultants to transform all collateral into best practice visual communications and provide innovative, visual solutions
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with other creative leadership, designer, developer and brand teams, such as the UX team and our Customer Engagement team (product marketing and communications team)
    • Assist marketing with email and website continuous design and communication improvements


About you


  • Approximately 4 years+ of relevant design experience in a professional services / technology environment with relevant formal design training
  • Advanced experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge and experience with HTML
  • Comfortable giving and receiving critical design feedback to senior stakeholders to positively drive best practice, innovative ways of communicating through visual design
  • Strong understanding of style guidelines, typography, design processes, and creative workflow
  • A genuine, nurturing leadership style and passion for developing and coaching junior team members
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience advising and positively influencing senior executive stakeholders
