The Role


The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for leading and championing Quantium’s visual aesthetic across all key communication points, including PowerPoint decks, product and client collateral, website, content development and animation. You will lead a small team which involves providing guidance, direction and coaching to build the capability of the team. You will develop and sustain trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders and provide expert advice to deliver best practice visual communication.


While this role can be full time there is also the option for the right person for it to be performed 4 days per week or even in a job share capacity.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain brand identity and style guides across the business, ensuring all Quantium’s collateral is consistent and adheres to design standards and principles
  • Collaborate with various disciplines (CEO, Executive team and Consultants) to transform presentation decks and various collateral into best practice visual communications
  • Manage the execution of design assets: PowerPoint, product and client collateral, website, company invites, email and other content
  • Solve problems with innovative visual solutions across PowerPoint, product and client collateral and other content i.e. presenting data in visual and innovative ways
  • Work cross-functionally with other creative leadership, designers, developers and brand teams – such as the UX and CET teams
  • Develop clean and effective graphic templates and style guides including ways to translate to the wider business
  • Manage multiple project requests while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines
  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader, providing expert advice to the visual designer
  • Provide support to the business, assisting in developing diagrams, visualisations, concepts and mock-ups


Key activities

  • Champion and lead the Company brand aesthetic throughout the business:
    • Delivering best practice PowerPoint presentations
    • Delivering simple and clean product collateral that effectively communicates key messaging
    • Ensure that brand design is consistent throughout the business
  • Ensure all design brief requests are fulfilled on time and reflect best practice design standards
  • Build and embed design capability organisation wide, including:
    • Training workshops to build design capability throughout the organisation
    • Bi-monthly emails communicating different design hacks and design resources available
  • Strategic comms:
    • Partner with key Executive members to help them solve for innovative design solutions to better communicate key thoughts or ideas
  • Build great rapport with the key business stakeholders to be considered a trusted leader. This should be facilitated via regular meetings with stakeholders to help them achieve their key collateral that will support the business objectives
  • Budget management across key projects
  • Assist marketing with email and website continuous design and communication improvements

Experience and education required

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant design experience in a professional services / Technology environment
  • Formal design training


  • Advanced experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML
  • Strong conceptual development skills with the ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale
  • Possess exceptional understanding of style guidelines, typography, design processes, and creative workflow
  • Comfortable giving and receiving critical design feedback
  • Collaborative style and structured communication (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in leading, developing and coaching teams in a dynamic, complex, matrixed environment
  • Experience advising and influencing senior executive stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
