The Opportunity

We have an exceptional track record in executing analytical and strategic projects with the Commonwealth and State governments, State health departments, public and private providers, private health and other insurers, researchers, medical technology and pharmaceutical manufacturers, and eHealth providers. Through our work for the Commonwealth and State government departments, we have built deep expertise in developing analytical strategies in environments that are highly-regulated and have highly-engaged stakeholders and complex policy contexts. 

The Executive Manager, Government role will support the Executive/s in the Quantium Health and Government practice, leading work in key state and federal Government jurisdictions. Your role will have three main elements:

  • You will lead business development efforts in key Health or Government clients, including the identification of project opportunities through discussions with clients and other officials, initiating and responding to RFPs, preparation of proposals, scoping of projects and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients, potential partners and other stakeholders
  • You will also oversee these projects by helping design and plan projects, securing teams to execute work, engaging with senior clients around the work being undertaken and liaising with other industry verticals within Quantium and outside organisations, and help to manage project economics
  • You will perform a people leadership and career development function for staff working on your projects, ensuring that they receive and understand feedback on their work, directing them towards work on appropriately challenging projects, providing career advice and overseeing recruitment of new team members and retention of existing ones. You will build balanced teams with complementary abilities to execute projects.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience with at least 2 years operating at a senior level in a data analytics, strategy or consulting
  • Deep experience in designing and managing analytics projects
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying, targeting and winning new work at existing and/or new clients and managing deep client relationships
  • A significant network of senior contacts in Government, including central and line agencies
  • Sharp problem-solving skills with experience partnering with clients and stakeholders to solve complex commercial problems using a data driven approach
  • Proven track record in managing large and complex programs of work with multiple streams
  • Stakeholder management experience including having engaged with senior leadership teams of large organisations
  • Experience in developing and managing high performance teams
  • Degree qualified; postgraduate qualifications highly valued
  • AU citizenship essential
