The Team

The retail products team within Quantium is world class; this team is accountable for the largest product portfolio in the business, generating over $80m per year in revenues and plays a key role in the overall success of the business.

We are experiencing high growth in the portfolio through both new products and expansion into new retailers both in Australia and internationally.

This is an opportunity to be part of a team who develop ground-breaking decision-making capability for Retail/FMCG clients in areas such as pricing and promotions optimisation, ranging, supply chain optimisation and targeted marketing.

The Opportunity

The Product Manager is a product management role overseeing one of Quantium’s strategic Retail products. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of the product strategy that is aligned to the commercial goals of the portfolio.

You will also be responsible for commercial and client-facing aspects of the product, management of internal stakeholders, development of roadmaps and feature prioritisation. This includes accountability to produce product management artefacts and marketing collateral, and act as a product SME supporting sales efforts.

Strong partnering and influencing skills will be required for this role as well as the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments whilst engaging with several cross-functional groups.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Achieve Product revenue targets as set by the business for each financial year
  • Develop and execute product strategy in alignment with key stakeholders in product and FMCG teams
  • Act as the voice and advocate of the customer in representing market and customer needs of the product
  • Use a customer centric product development approach to develop a deep understanding of end user needs to shape future product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Ensure continuous validation of products using structured Discovery process to deliver outcomes for the customer and Quantium
  • Undertake market planning, competitive analysis, pricing, and customer value proposition positioning of Quantium’s solution
  • Develop and lead execution of the product strategy and roadmap working closely with internal teams, including MVP, product-market fit and continuous improvement goals
  • Lead and manage the breakdown of product initiatives into milestones, epics and user stories
  • In collaboration with the GTM teams, develop and lead the execution of the go-to-market strategy, communications plan, sales enablement and client facing collateral
  • Support business development efforts for the product as a subject matter expert on Quantium’s capability
  • Assist with product support activities; liaise with internal support teams to ensure the platform and other internal support requested by the delivery team is available
  • Develop, track and improve core product performance metrics

About you:

  • Ideally, you will have a strong FMCG background or a B2B product management background in a high growth environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in a product management role with demonstrable experience of delivering world class products at scale
  • 3+ years’ experience using User Centric Design, Lean and Agile methodology or equivalent
  • Commercial experience in an environment of technical complexity
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive user stories
  • Experience with A/B testing and similar hypotheses testing
  • Ability to translate and convey customer problems and commercial outcomes to the Engineering team
  • Sharp problem-solving skills with experience partnering with clients and stakeholders to solve complex commercial problems using a data driven approach 
  • Stakeholder management experience including having worked with senior leadership teams
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Degree qualified; postgraduate qualifications highly valued
