Role summary

Quantium has adopted Salesforce as its customer platform to rationalise and strengthen our various customer interaction flows, from selling products, onboarding and SSO to communication and usage reporting. This shift in our capability requires specific expertise to design, develop/configure and maintain our platform. As a Salesforce Engineer, you will contribute to the solution design (jointly with Quantium Architects, Senior Engineers and Tech Leads), will drive the configuration and development work on the platform, and will contribute to the education on the platform to other Quantium Engineers and Business Users.


Location: Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane / Work remotely from anywhere in Australia


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support BAU activities on Salesforce platform
  • Building highly customized Salesforce solutions
  • Integrating Salesforce with various other systems using ETL tools and APIs
  • Creating mock-ups, data models, pseudo code and process flows.
  • Acting as a conduit between internal teams and Salesforce platform team in regard to Level-3 support requests.

  • Taking part in requirements gathering sessions
  • Translate business requirement into practical Salesforce implementation (jointly with a Quantium Business Analyst)
  • Review Salesforce critical updates and provide solutions accordingly
  • Develop custom solutions in APEX code and LWC
  • Contribute to internal strategic projects
  • Plan and co-ordinate SIT and UAT
  • Source-control the changes into code repositories
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Work closely with Senior Engineers, Architects to develop a Quantium Salesforce Centre of Excellence / community
  • Assist and educate business users
  • Provide Level-3 support
  • Monitor and maintain BAU activities on Salesforce platform and integrated Salesforce tools
  • Delivery of prioritise features and initiatives based on roadmap and Platform Lead guidance
  • Supporting Senior Salesforce Engineer in technical delivery and other operational tasks


Experience and Education Required 

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce and comprehensive understanding of the overall Salesforce Platform
  • Salesforce Service Cloud and Community Cloud experience highly desirable
  • Solid technical skills in application engineering(asynchronous programming, architecture principles, design patterns)
  • Hands-on experience with SFDX
  • Proficient in Web Technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
  • Solid experience with Apex, Aura and LWC framework
  • Appetite for learning new modules in Salesforce (ex: CPQ)
  • Exposure towards other technologies(python, nodejs and C# etc.)
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Great exposure to CI/CD tools (bitbucket pipelines, GitLab, GitHub etc.)
  • Salesforce (PD2 and/or Architect) certification (desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations
  • Exposure to Salesforce CPQ Module (desirable)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, actuarial studies or a related discipline
