The opportunity

The Lead Sales & BD Consultant sits within our passionate and friendly FMCG team – we thrive within Quantium’s unique, fast-paced environment and we also know how to enjoy and celebrate our successes.

We’ve created this role because first impressions matter, and we need you to join us to maximise revenue from new and existing FMCG relationships.

This is an opportunity to bring a new level of sales capability to our team, primarily being responsible for sales and new business development for Q.checkout, a world-class insights tool that allows our clients to understand their customers at an unparalleled level. In addition, you will lead a BD pod with the Client Lead and product expert to upsell solutions across the FMCG portfolio of products.

Some other things you’ll be involved with:

  • Assisting with the development and execution against the FY21 BD strategy
  • Win new business through identifying opportunities, building relationships with existing and prospective FMCG clients, and negotiating / closing business deals 
  • Manage the sales pipeline through: cold calling / lead generation & pursuit through to delivery resourcing, along with forecasting and prioritising of opportunities to deliver against monthly FMCG targets
  • Ensure project profitability: analyse delivery vs quotes and identify pricing / quoting issues and efficiency opportunities
  • Maintain Quantium’sreputation for quality deliverables within the FMCG industry, analyse trends and results to optimise growth for clients and suppliers 
  • Use insights to present compelling stories that deliver tangible commercial value
  • Level up our sales capability through mentoring and coaching of other Consultants across the FMCG team
  • Input into improvement of collateral, communications and processes: you’re on the front line with clients, so you will see what works – bring this back and help our team toraise the bar

  • 7+ years B2B sales experiencein the FMCG industry, via agency or client side   
  • Extensive experience with using and maintaining CRM (HubSpotideal)  
  • Understanding of how FMCG companies can use data to shape their strategy and improve performance 
  • Project management/delivery skills valued 
  • An ability to work proactively and leverage available resources to problem solve
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders (both internal and ideally externally)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively sell ideas and explain complex concepts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and regularly changing environment, juggling multiple stakeholders and projects
